If one look at the history of this country one will see a divided history and a whole history. The divided history is the history that was taught for certain groups of people, history taught the way it was needed to be viewed, history taught to encourage, as well as history taught to discourage. However, the whole history involves all of us, regardless of one's ethnic, racial, or status in life. Every one of us in America has a place in American history. Each day there is something one contributes to the history of this country whether it is viewed that way or not. As for as political history is concerned, there is the good, the bad, and the ugly. Nevertheless, compared to some other countries I for now prefer America.

TRUTH . . .

“I believe that for the small numbers of Jewish people in the United States, they exercise a tremendous amount of influence on the affairs of government...Yes, they exercise extraordinary control, and black people will never be free in this country until they are free of that kind of control.” — Louis Farrakhan

Back in the 1960s and early 70s, a popular bumper sticker read... "America - Love it or Leave it". That's exactly what these spoiled children need to hear today.

Thank you for writing! Young people really need to be better educated. By this I mean, not in public school, but learn by reading and by other adults who have more life under their belt. It is sad when we realize how little they know, yet they are going to make and believe people who are clueless about life in general. This concerns me so much. It is not how my husband and I taught our kids, yet our youngest is heavily influenced this way and I believe will not be sure that her own kids that are very young right now, will be taught what is true. It makes me sad, but I try daily when they are with me, to influence them the best that I can. They are still real young so they don't understand history and social studies topics, but it won't be long before they are taught this by someone. Some of us will have to come up behind them and other generations to clean up the mess that others taught them and influenced them to believe.

The Frankfurt School adapted Marx’s theories on revolution to include Freud’s theory of the subconscious. The Cultural Marxists’ main focus was to reshape the subconscious of Western men and women and thus create new type of person: one who would react passively to provocations of all kinds.

not patriotic enough! I know some kids in high school that didn't want to celebrate the 4th of July recently except to eat food. They spoke about how terrible America is. I was disgusted. We are in a bad place in history right now, but the USA itself is not terrible. They need to see another country or continent, like a 3rd world country and see how fortunate they really are.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I hear you. We must restore a pro-America history and civic education curriculum throughout the country's schools. If nothing else, I believe in grassroots campaigns that spread a pro-America patriotic education to young people, be it door-to-door (where parents can get on board) or through the Internet (like on social media platforms).

I’ve managed diverse groups of individuals, many of them millennials. In my experience, if you offer most millennials even the slightest bit of constructive criticism, they go into complete meltdowns, almost to the point of needing consolation. thanks for welly describes.

We should teach patriotism in schools that will help students build up a sense of identity.

I come from a land where we have no history no culture and are really lucky to have very little class(in both). Studied world history since 1976.. I am 61. First lesson in history. The victor writes the history till the day they loose. So you guys are still controlling history and writing history. Your kids are reading, learning and Living in the history you created for them. You have created and written there history. From the outside I see your kids history as this. Let’s call there county home. Your kids are not stupid. So they know home is the police of the world and they know home wants to rule over the world. And let’s use the Vietnam War as your homes starting point in learning history. Most of these kids learned the history of the Vietnam War through word of mouth from there family. Eg Uncle Sam(pardon me) was in the Air Force and he use to load the drugs into the body bags. And Freddie’s mum’s boyfriend new all about it. So they understand how politically filthy that war was. So it’s easier for them to see through all the wars home created after that. All the same one after another. Then home brought the war to home with terrorism. And now home has declared war on home. There is no safety for them. They haven’t felt save, they don’t feel safe. You have sown the seed, but some of them ain’t taking the fertiliser your feeding them and the don’t want to live in a toxic home. Must be very hard for them knowing that there government is betraying them. Hard to look forward positively if that hangs over your head. It’s very sad. But those kids who understand could be the beginning of a new home. Home they can feel safe in.

I agree with you and want to say with you that What we don’t know and what makes generational profiles difficult is how their attitudes may change — and how the world may change them — as they age.

Quality content compared to other channels. Young people actually care about the future state of affairs. It may also signal that it is time to work together to build a country that we can all celebrate.

I agree with you but now with educational liberalization, at least kids can have their egos massaged while never learning how to deal with adversity, differing opinions, or responsibility and expectations.

"It isn't necessarily that this younger generation is less patriotic than previous young generations. People's views change as they get older."

But that is exactly what this article says. The younger generation IS less patriotic. They admit it in the interviews.

Thanks for your comment. It was important to highlight that young people (18-24 or 18-29) described themselves are more patriotic 20 years ago than a similar age group today.
